As a teacher at Ashtead Tutor, you will teach a range of pupils of all ages and abilities, and will be accompanied by a tutoring assistant who are paired with some of our pupils.
Tutors, Assistant Tutors & Junior Assistants
All our tutors and assistants must have excellent academic and teaching ability but not everyone needs to be a qualified teacher. Junior assistants are normally exceptionally high performing University Students or A-level pupils who help a highly qualified tutor. You will work alongside our excellent teachers to tutor a pupil with whom you will be matched. If we currently do not have a pupil to whom your skills are most suited, we will keep your details to hand for when we discover a pupil who you can help most effectively.
Tutors & Assistant Tutors are more experienced than Junior assistants. They teach more independently and with appropriate support.

The hours are really do-able. I only tutor one hour a week and the only other time is a bit of prep so overall it's really manageable.
